Reconditioning of Separator cage wheel in cement mill

Salient features of X’tralife treatment

Wear and breakage on spokes, base plate and blade were observed due to severe erosion in component used in cement mill.
The wear was caused by dynamic loading and metal to metal contact during service conditions.
Performance life of the component was around 5 years and after reconditioning of rotor cage with X’tralife product and carrying out DP/UT test and NDT test the performance life has been observed more than 2 years. This has resulted in immense cost-effectiveness for the plant.
The solution in terms of repair and reclamation aware society to adapt better metallurgical upgrades and innovative processes to improve the availability of the plant and machinery.
