XL-CP-08 OA

General Characteristics :

XL-CP-08 OA is a tubular wire with a basic flux fill to refine the molten weld pool, ensuring high quality deposit. Exhibits very good weld ability for a basic wire. Metal recovery a approximately 90% with respect to wire.

Applications :

XL-CP-08 OA is primarily used for welding low alloy ferrite creep-resisting steel of the 1- 1.25% chromium, 1% molybdenum type at service temperature upto 550º C. The 1.25Cr, 0.5Mo weld metal corrodes more slowly than, and improves resistance to hydrogen attack and increases creep strength compared with C-Mn steels. It is also used in the reclamation and repair of machine components made from matching composition steels. The excellent mechanical properties of CP-08, both as welded and heat treated make it a use ful material for welding structural steels for ambient and sub-zero service.
