XL-HTS

General Characteristics :

A nickel base electrode for welding of nickel alloy and nickel alloyed steel for low temperature work. Also for welding of austenitic stainless steel to low alloy. XL – HTS yield a very crack proof weld metal. It is relatively tolerant to dilution. The weld metal has good impact strength down to -200ºC and good impact strength upto 800ºC. also the corrosion resistant is good.

Applications :

For welding of nickel alloy such as inconel 600, incoloy 800, nimonic 75, NiCr 8070-W. Nr. 2.4869. It can also used for welding low temp. Steels such as 5% and 9% nickel steel and joining for dissimilar steel, low alloy, steel to high nickel alloy or surfacing unalloyed steel with a layer of a nickel-chromium alloy. Often the electrode can be used to advantages for welding of high temperature resistance cast steels of limited weldabilities.
