What is X’traclad-SPL Wearplate?

It is a bimettalic plate with highly wearresistant complex chromium carbide layer on top and mild steel base.The hard layer is smooth and with little or no cracks.Due to its special manufacturing process,the deposit is bandfree and good for alleviating flow problems.

The wearplate can easily cut to custom sizes by using Plasma arc. Plates can be welded together using common electrodes to join backing plates which does not affect the wear resisting properties. They can be rolled or bent to custom shapes.

Metallurgical properties achieved in this accurately controlled process utilizing the proper blend of carbides results in an overlay with an evenly distributed microstructure and extreme hardness. By using a combination of different carbides X’TRACLAD-SPL obtains a consistent wear on the matrix that hold them in place.

Since deposits has a very low coefficient of friction, combined with the smooth finish of, it is suitable for areas where customers have problems of material sticking.

X’TRACLAD-SPL has excellent forming qualities even with thinner thicknesses both hardlayer in or out of formed radii. This is the result of a consistent dilution zone.
