XL-SS 27

General Characteristics :

XL-SS27 has excellent weld appearance, self releasing slag, very good strike and re-strike ability. It is a low carbon 18/13/Mo/Nb stabilized electrode with controlled ferrite content of 4%-8% for maximum resistance to stress corrosion cracking, chemical corrosion and inter crystalline corrosion. The weld metal has excellent creep straight up to 900º C and it has radiographic quality.

Applications :

It is ideal for welding of 316, 316Mo (318) and 307 type stainless steels. It is also suitable for chemical tanks, bleaching equipment, paper mill equipment, dyeing equipment, pickling, plant, heat resisting casting, bakery equipment etc.
