DF-6036

General Characteristics :

DF-6036 has been developed specially for the forging industries. It is utilized for partial repair and for finishing dies and component surfaces,to eliminate low spots, and undercuts where flood welding has been performed. DF-6036 is heat treatable chromium, nickel with an as welded deposit in the machinable 36-40 HRC range. The low carbon martens tic structure yields a tough medium strength deposit which is suitable for corrosion and erosion environments. Deposits polish to a high luster with medium resistance to abrasion and are highly crack resistant.

Applications :

Die casting dies, shafts, fractured tools and dies. Highly suitable for forging dies build up. Excellent for use as an underlay on crack sensitive alloys.

• Hardness of the weld metal (as deposited) : 35-40 Rc
