XL-H21

General Characteristics :

A rutile-basic coated SMAW electrode with an alloyed core-wire. It deposits a Co – Cr – Ni – Mo -alloy. Suitable
for hard facing parts which are subjected to hot metal – to- metal wear. It has good toughness even at high
temperature. The surfacing part can undergo repeated thermal cycles and shocks. It has good oxidation resistance.

Applications :

Forging bottom dies, hot -working tools, trimming dies etc.

• Provides hardness at elevated temp. hence good edge retention & better structure. More service life.
• Can bear heavy impact and resistant to chipping and spalling hence longevity.
• No oxidation at red heat and less distortion in mechanical properties at elevated temps.
