XL-SS 23

General Characteristics :

XL-SS23 is synthetic basic coated stainless steel SMAW electrode. The weld metal contains 13%Cr, 4%Ni, 0.5%Mo martensitic stainless steel. 120% recovery. PWHT is necessary when it is used for joining. Used for surfacing and joining steels of corresponding analysis.

Applications :

It is suitable for refiner cones, die casting moulds, impellers valve, hydraulic turbine buckets and trash plates etc.

Mechanical Properties :

• Tensile Strength : 540 N/mm²
• Elongation : Approx 35%
