WR-CORD 312

General Characteristics :

WR-Cord 312 electrodes were initially designed for the welding of high tensile alloys to high temperature heat-resisting alloys. However based upon performance, these electrodes have found wide acceptance for the welding of newly developed high yield steels and abrasion resisting steels and dissimilar steels. The weld deposit contains 29%cr, 9%ni and has high ferrite content (>30%) which gives excellent crack resistance.

Applications :

WR-Cord 312 is used for joining ferritic to austenitic steels, joining austenitic steels, armour plates, dissimilar steels and for buffer layers etc

Mechanical Properties :
  • Tensile Strength : upto 800 N/mm²
  • Elongation : approx. 35%
