WR-CORD 2209 is a rutile coated, all position electrode depositing weld metal containing 22% Cr, 10% Ni, 3% Mo and 0.10% N with extra low Carbon. The weld metal has duplex microstructure consisting of an austenite along with ferrite matrix. The weld metal possesses higher strength with improved resistance to pitting, corrosive attack and to stress corrosion cracking.
WR-CORD 2209 is widely used in the welding of chemical processing equipments. It is very much useful for joining wrought & cast material of similar composition.
