WR-CORD 317L

General Characteristics :

WR-Cord 317L is an extra low Carbon 19/13/Mo stainless steel electrode with controlled ferrite content of 4-9 % for maximum resistance to stress corrosion cracking, inter-granular corrosion and chemical corrosion. The higher Molybdenum content reduces susceptibility to pitting. The weld metal has very good corrosion resistance and is of radiographic quality.

Applications :

WR-Cord 317L is widely used for applications involving sulphuric & sulphrous acids and their salts in fabrications in which post-heat treatments to be avoided, for joining stainless steel to low alloy and Carbon steels.
