XL-18 K

General Characteristics :

XL-18 K is a specially developed alloy for welding many type of dissimilar steels and welding manganese steel. Deposits are highly crack resistant with excellent ductility.

Applications :

XL-18 K is ideally suitable for joining Hadfield steels, Armour and other high tensile steels in construction and core sector industry. It is suited for particularly tough, crack- and wear- resistant joint and surfacing on steels of higher tensile strength like St. 60, St. 70 and hard-manganese steel, as well as for joining high alloy steels with low-alloy and non-alloy materials. Such applications occur primarily on construction machinery and equipment.

• Tensile Strength : upto 68 kgf/mm
• Yield Strength : upto 53 kgf/mm
• Elongation : 35-40 %
• Hardness : 190 – 205 BHN
