X’TRAWAVE Wearplate surface is a complex carbide overlay deposited on a high grade mild steel plate or a chosen substrate. The surface provide excellent resistance to erosion/abrasion.
With all composite weld deposits, it is common that fine crack swill form in the overlay. These cracks are not dangerous except for application in fine particle, high velocity erosion. This is due to channeling effect by those particles through the cracks. X’TRAWAVE Wearplate severe lyre duces this problem by maintaining the exceptional wearresistance of the famous X’TRALIFENM Wearplate by having cracks which are at an angle to flow direction. This reduces the phenomenon of channeling to agreatextent.
Metallurgical properties achieved in this accurately controlled process utilizing the proper blend of carbides results in an overlay with an evenly distributed micro structure and extreme hardness. By using a combination of different carbides, X’TRAWAVE Wearplate obtains a consistent wear on the matrix that hold them in place.
Since deposits has a very low coefficient of friction, combined with the smooth finish, it is suitable for areas where customers have problems material sticking also.
X’TRAWAVE Wearplate has excellent forming qualities even with thinner thicknesses both hard layer in or out of formed radii. This is the result of a consistent dilution zone.
