DF-8100

General Characteristics :

DF-8100 has been developed especially for the forging industries. It is utilized for partial repair and for finishing dies and component surfaces, to eliminate low spots, and undercuts where flood welding has been performed. DF-8100 is rutile-basic coated SMAW electrode with an alloyed core-wire weld metal is an alloy of Co, Cr, Ni, Mo. The hardfacing parts are subjected to hot metal – to – metal wear. It has good toughness even at high temperature. The surfacing part undergoes repeated thermal cycles and shocks. It has good oxidation resistance. Excellent edge retention property.

Applications :

It is mostly useful on forging bottom dies, hot working tools, trimming dies etc.

Mechanical Properties :

• Hardness : 30 – 34 HRc
