XL-WTI

General Characteristics

XL-WTi is a rutile coated electrode with extra toughness in the alloy with good edge retention and cutting property. It is suitable for the reinforcement of cutting edges, for tool bodies, for overlaying of hot cuttings tools. The weld deposit can be heated treated like high-speed tool steel. Good tempering properties up to 550oC.Specially suitable for versatile crack free wear resistant deposits required for resisting erosive, impact or abrasive wear. The wear resistance is almost double of XL-W56 alloy.

Hot working punches and dies extrusion moulds and dies, shear blades milling and cutting tools, cutting edges of stamping dies, swaging hammers woodcutting tools
