    General Characteristics

XL-LHH is a medium coated hydrogen controlled electrode. It is suitable for all position welding. It is specially developed for high impact values at sub zero temperatures. It can also be used on mild steel applications where the structures have to with stand sub zero temperatures. It is recommended to use minimum possible heat input. XL-LHH gives a very good smooth arc, medium penetration, very less spatter with an easy removable slag. Deposition effciency approx. 110%. Dry the electrode at 3000C for one hour for best result.

    Applications

For heavy joints under restraint and subject to dynamic loading for low temperature applications. It can be also used for joining alloy steels such as SiMn, heat treated steels containing Ni upto 1.0%, seals, speed rings and spiral casting of turbines etc.

    Advantages

    • Excellent strength and toughness properties down to -400C. Low hydrogen coating minimize cracking. Suitable for welding of low alloy and high strength steel.
    • Easy to use this electrode in all position.
    • Tough, yet fully machinable.
    • Designed to resist under bead cracking.
    • Excellent result on free machining or high sulphur steels.
    • Welder friendly and saving time.
    • To execute tough jobs.
