XL-HTP

General Characteristics

XL-HTP is a rutile type stainless steel electrode suitable for welding stainless steel of similar composition in wrought or cast form. The weld metal has excellent resistance to corrosion and temperature up to 1100ºC. Presence of columbium provides stabilization against intergranular corrosion. Operates equally well on AC and DC+ in all conventional position.

Applications

It is suitable for welding of dissimilar alloy such as 18/8 or 18/8 Cb to mild steels. Welding of clad side of 18/8 or 18/8 Cb steels. Applying sheet lining of 12% Cr steel to mild steel shells and hoppers.Mechanical Properties
