General characteristics

XL-CP-07 OA is self-shielded flux cored wire with goog impact properties. The weld deposit gives good weld bead finish with smooth arc, low spatter and minimal slag. The slag removal is easy and deposited weld metal has uniform ripples. The deposition rates are high in down hand welding position

Applications

Used for single and multi pass welding of low and medium carbon steel. Joining all types of Mild steel and low alloy steel. Fabrication of machinery and structural steel, site construction and ship plate welding. Can be used as a buffer layer under hard facing deposit.
