ULTRA 150PC is developed to resist steel parts inside fumace and hot air ducts from erosion. This is a two component system consisting of ceramic base and liquid activator to be mixed at site. Use multiple passes and ramming to maintain the required thickness of lining. After sufficient air drying and slow heating upto 350°C min., this coating sets into a hard abrasion resistance mass thus preventing the part from erosion.

MIXING the ULTRA 150PC is supplied in two component system i.e. the ceramic base and the liquid activator. Base packing is of 50 kg each which is to be mixed with 9.5% by weight of liquid activator (i.e. 4.75 Kg or 2850 ml). Water percentage for ULTRA 150PC liquid activator is 3.5 – 4.0 % (2000 ml approx.) by weight of base. it may vary by about 0.25 to 0.5 % depending on temperature conditions. The base of 50 kg is discharged into a plastic mixing container or in a suitable high speed mixer machine (100 kg max. batch at a time). First the liquid activator is gradually added into the dry mix while kneading / mixing is on, using acid proof rubber handgloves. Subsequently, after adding the required pertentage Of water, material must be mixed thoroughly again till homogenous plastic mass (when pressed with hand palm or moulded the material will take the required shape). Now the plastic mass is ready for application after about 15 to 20 minutes of manual mixing or 10 to 12 minutes of machine mixing. The mixed plastic mass should be covered with a polythene sheet & left for ‘ageing’ for approx. 25-30 minutes. THE ULTRA 150PC mix can be applied over itself within a period of 45 minutes (covered with plastic sheet or liner) after mixing, without any effect on properties. If stiffness is seen after 45 minutes, the material has to be remixed by adding little water to regain the plasticity. For testing the plasticity make the ball of the material with palm, drop it from 2-2.5 meter height on the floor. If it does not break (only flattens from the bottom),it indicates that mix is good.

hot air ducts subjects to erosion from dust laden gases, fumace walls, separators, blast fumace erosion areas etc.

1 Year if base and activator are not mixed together and stored in non humid condition between 20°C to 40 °C
